ASSORTED PRINTMAKING PROCESSES
The sessions for the Winter Term were a little different from our usual programme. The focus was on printmaking, with four processes being on offer for each of four weeks. The final week was a chance to share our results with one another.
The aim was that at the end of each session everyone would have achieved either a finished print, or the foundations of one that could be built upon later. Apart from processes that would have been familiar to most, the fairly new technique of Gelli printing was demonstrated, where acrylic paint is used instead of conventional printing inks.
Four diffgerent print processes were on offer over four weeks.
I am sure all those who attended would agree the sessions were a great success with a vast number of varied and really exciting results achieved. Huge thanks go to those who gave up their own studio time to demonstrate and tutor the different processes. They were Anna Hughes, Christine Baker, Jane Clark and Susanne Taylor.
