Meeting Notes:
1. Welcome and Introductions
Emily Johnson opened the meeting at 6:00 PM and welcomed all members. New member Jessica White introduced herself and shared her background in mixed media art.
2. Review of Previous Meeting Minutes
Sarah Brown read the minutes from the previous meeting held on September 20, 2023. The minutes were approved without amendments.
3. Upcoming Events
Art in the Park: Scheduled for November 5, 2023. Members are encouraged to volunteer for setup and activities.
Monthly Workshop: A watercolor workshop will be held on November 12, 2023. Registration is now open.
Annual Art Gala: Planned for December 15, 2023. David Lee will lead the planning committee.
4. Budget Review
David Lee presented the current budget status. The society has a balance of $2,500. The committee discussed potential funding sources for upcoming events and agreed to apply for a community grant.
5. Open Floor Discussion
Members discussed various topics, including:
Collaborative projects with local schools.
Ideas for increasing membership and community engagement.
Possibility of a social media campaign to showcase members' artwork.

The next meeting is scheduled for November 19, 2023, at 6:00 PM in Room B of the Community Art Center.
